This page covers the information the quote form collects, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to delete it sooner.
What the quote form collects
When you send a quote request we receive your name, phone number, email address, the state you are in, and the message you write. We also record the IP address the request came from and the result of the Cloudflare Turnstile check that runs on the form. The IP address and the Turnstile result are there to keep automated submissions out of the queue.
Why we hold it
We use what you send to price the converters you are selling and to contact you about that quote. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to your request.
How long we keep it
A quote request is deleted 24 months after it is submitted, by an automated nightly job, whether or not it turned into a sale. If a quote leads to business and we create a customer record for you, that record is kept as part of the business’s transaction records, because state scrap metal law requires a buyer to keep a record of who it bought from.
Asking us to delete it sooner
Email [email protected] and ask. We will delete the quote request and confirm when it is done. Records that state scrap metal law requires us to keep are the one exception, and we will tell you if that applies to you.
